The Star Tribune recently ran an article on Richfield (Inner-ring suburb grows in place). Most of the homes in Richfield were built shortly after World War II, so they are fairly small. The city is encouraging remodeling of those homes with a Transformation Homes loan program.
The result has been that many people are staying in Richfield longer, the homes are getting bigger, and it is increasingly becoming a more desirable place to buy a home.
You can check out Richfield this weekend at the Richfield Beautiful Home and Garden Tour from 1 to 5 p.m on Saturday June 23.
