The Star Tribune recently ran an article (Housing Resources, Nov 30, 2005) that listed 8 location agencies to help with housing issues.
Of most interest to home buyers, they listed:
Richfield Housing and Redevelopment Authority – helps with loans for remodeling
Rural Development/U.S. Department of Agriculture – serves rural low-income residents with loans for single-family housing.
Veterans Affairs – provides home loans through mortgage lenders and other services to veterans and their dependents.
Washington County Housing and Redevelopment Authority – offers county residents a program for first-time home buyers.
Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now – Housing – offers home buyer counseling programs for low- and moderate-income people in Minneapolis and St. Paul.
Builders Association of the Twin Cities – provides information about available building lots, new homes and remodeling.
